In City of Conquest, there’s a scene where hyun joong transformed into a female – japanese bride. The scene was on a honeymoon boat (in japan), Hyun Joong wore japanese traditional female outfit and had female make-over. While, Jung YooMi acted as male – the groom. Hyun Joong was too ‘pretty’ to the extent that YooMi exclaimed “it really poses a threat to girls seeing him like this”.
MC couldn’t help but to praise Hyun Joong’s good skin complex “as smooth as an egg!” , Hyun Joong suddenly repeated this sentence (out of nowhere), making everyone bursts into laughter.
Kim Hyun Joong revealed that the last time he acted as a female was “at 2005′s concert”, when asked if he will worry that his uzoosin’s manly image would be ruined as a cause, he said “as an actor, it’s a must to be able to adapt to various image/concepts, as long as the audience is happy.”.

MC asked what are their roles in the drama.
Hyun Joong: I'm acting as Baek Mir. I had lived a very rough life but I love this one woman Lee Dan Bi who I met that will gradually heal the pain and my heart.
Yoo Mi: Before you watched the video from behind the scenes, I want you please don't worry. Because of the last scene, I know you've react violently. If you got angry, I'm sorry from my heart.
Hyun Joong: That's alright. That is only acting.
Yoo Mi: I'm acting as Dan Bi who is very bright and filled with positive energy. Baek Mir who I sincerely love. I will brighten to illuminate his dark world. (I think she meant here that she will enlighten Baek Mir's world despite the hardworks that surrounds him). Did you had a hard time doing the action scenes?.
HJ: Even though this is my first time doing action drama and I'm not yet familiar doing my parts, but I'm working hard on it. The stuntman is working hard also behind the scenes. He is giving enough effort because of several risk factors and also to ensure safety. (Hyun Joong said something about his motorcycle scene where he could've done better and longer but I think time didn't allow him to).
MC: What do you think about dressing as a woman?
(fans said 'Cute!!')
HJ: I'm glad that the fans thought it was cute. It's my first time dressing as a girl in this year, I didn't do this for many years. I remember doing it back in our concert last 2005. And so I will work hard for you to enjoy the scene.
MC: What do you think of Hyun Joong dressed up like a woman?
Yoo Mi: ( She said something woman will get insecured because of his beauty). When I saw him I thought he is really beautiful. During the shooting, there are lots of fans who stayed and watched, but he didn't get shy at all. He is working really hard. When I saw his appearance, I thought that he is a gifted and professional actor.
MC: Any special instruction you gave to them? (Talking to the director)
Director-nim: first of all, I thought Hyun Joong-ssi would get shy if he dresses as a woman but I just told him to work hard (smiles).
MC asked Hyun Joong about his previous roles and asked what can he say about them.
HJ: Baek Mir doesn't seem to be a complete adult. I haven't thought to compare Baek Mir to Baek Seung Jo and Ji Hoo (because no one had asked me yet). But I feel more comfortable to act as Baek Mir (maybe because he has a lot of similarities to Baek Mir).
MC: What are your first impression to these two?(referring to KHJ and JYM)
Director-nim : Kim Hyun Joong-ssi has a very pretty face as a man. I was surprised when I got to know him that he is tough and very manly. And when we drank together with Yoo Mi I was also surprised of his humor. Jung Yoo Mi-ssi has a very refreshing personality as a woman.
MC: How did you emphathize to act the cool and wild Baek Mir?
HJ: As an actor and a singer, I think Hyun Joong doesn't have that wild look. Though Hyun Joong also has his wild side but he's just not showing it to you. This time as Baek Mir, I will little by little take out the cool or wild side of the original Kim Hyun Joong.
MC: Do you somehow relate to Baek Mir's character?
Hyun Joong: (Thinks first).. I don't know if you will believe but, I like being Baek Mir who will fight to death for the person he love and I thought we are quite similar as a person.
MC: Anything you would like to tell to the audience about the drama's theme?
Director-nim: There are times we live with difficult trials, there are problems that can not be solved by the law and in this drama Baek Mir has its own way of resolving it. He is going to have his own definition for Justice and because Love depicts in the process, sometimes he'll be out of focus.
MC: What is the highlight of this drama?
Yoo Mi: Overall, this drama has a very large scale and is full of actions and colorful attractions. The video (shown) is only a portion and I think this will be a really awesome drama. I'm also looking forward for the completion of this drama, so please wait for it.
MC said that there seems to have a lot of difficult scenes, what are the places or scenes that are really hard to shoot with. (Not sure with this one)
Hyun Joong: The scene that spent the longest time was the rooftop scene. It was really hard shooting it. The kiss scene is also hard to shoot. (Fans in a big fuss) I think HJ asked the fans if they don't like him taking kissing scenes and said 'But that's not appropriate' or I think he didn't agree with the fans. But if you do so, I think I'll just take it roughly...... just kidding (laughs). But because I'm surrounded by great performers, staffs and directors, almost all of the scenes can be a highlight. When you hear the title 'City Conquest' you might think that it always has a dark and action content. Yes it has action in this drama, mellow drama and love scene but there are also something to smile/laugh at, so I think you have to focus on the emotions and triumph of this drama. I think you will enjoy this drama.
MC: What are your impressions in Japan?
Yoo Mi: Everytime I go here in Japan be it work or just travel, the streets are all clean and the people are really friendly. This time everybody gave us a warm welcome and even prepared lunch and snacks for us. She also said something about staffs and actors will get energy from these japanese or else they will get stressed but I'm not sure though. And I'm really thankful to them.
MC asked how is the remaining episodes shot with this hot weather (not sure of this one).
Director-nim: This summer is really hot right? We mainly shot in Nikko but, fortunately because of the sunlight there is better than anywhere else and it was cooler and I think it was better than Korea. Of course there are days that are really hot but, to avoid the hot summer we take a bath in the morning and in the evening. (I'm not sure with the bath part.)
Yoo Mi: But it's still hot (laughs)

Korean Singer and Actor Kim Hyun Joong celebrated his official FC HENECIA JAPAN 1st anniversary and drama preview event at the prestigious Nippon Budokan in Tokyo on October 4.
Korean Singer and Actor Kim Hyun Joong celebrated his official FC HENECIA JAPAN 1st anniversary and drama [City Conquest] Memorial Event at the Nippon Budokan in Tokyo on October 4.
In the audience were lucky HENECIA Japan (Kim Hyun Joong's Japanese fanclub) members who won the highly competitive bid for admission tickets to the prestigious event. About 100 media were also invited to the event to witness the first promotion event of the upcoming Korean drama "City Conquest" starring Kim Hyun Joong and Jeong Yoo Mi.
After Kim Hyun Joong introduced himself and thanked his fans for the success of HENECIA Japan and the fanclub's first anniversary, the main part of the event began which was the preview of the Korean drama "City Conquest".
The preview event was comprised of 3 parts, viewing of the teaser trailer of the drama's episode 1 and 2, talk session with Kim Hyun Joong (as Baek Mir), Jeong Yoo Mi (as Lee Dan Bi) and the producer Yang Yoon Ho, and showing behind-the-scenes footage (Martial Arts, Transformation, Acting, Scale and Adiau / 5 parts) of the drama filmed in Japan, back in July.
The audience watched the teaser trailers and behind-the-scenes video, as well as listened into the talk session with much interest and anticipation.
Kim Hyun Joong then capped the event with a live performance. The crowd at the Budokan were very alive -- standing up, cheering and singing together during the performance.
After singing Creep in English, Kim Hyun Joong made an announcement as the MC mentioned there would be some special present from him. "In December.... Christmas will come...In December....In Japan....Christmas will come...." The audiences were longing to know what will happen in December. "In December, in Japan, My First Album will be released. I'm preparing for you all to like it, so please look forward to it"
With this announcement, everyone was elated and gasped, "Wow!!" and clapped their hands.

KHJ: HENECIA JAPAN 1st anniversary, congratulations everyone. As we celebrate this anniversary, let us continue to our 100th anniversary together, I will let you hear my good songs and see good acting, so please eat good food and take good medicine so that you can keep well till out 100th.
After showing the trailer of the drama (the first few episodes includes romance between Mir and Dan Bi as kissing on boat scene was shown in the trailer.)
MC: Please tell us about your roles in this drama...
Yoo Mi: Well, before I talk about my role in this drama...I watched the trailer backstage before you watched it, I got worried, because I heard a lot of reaction....I thought the fans got angry and felt sorry.
MC: Is everyone angry? ... Daijobu? (Was it ok?)
KHJ: Daijobu desu. Engi dakara. (It's ok as it was just acting)
Yoo Mi: The role I act as Dan Bi is a person with very lively, straight forward with a lot of energy and heart. She really loves Mir the role Kim Hyun Joong-ssi acts, and trying to brighten up the darkness in his heart.
MC: ...there are many hard action scenes in this drama, we saw you were on a motor bike, wasn't it dangerous?
KHJ: This is the first action drama and I'm not used to it yet. I'm still learning but stunt men are trying hard, so it's not that dangerous.....
During the talk session, they talked about the trailer shown (action, romance, transformation, roles, etc), about each other (KHJ, JYM and the producer) and it was apparent that they have very good and close relationship and enjoy filming this drama, even if it was challenging..
As the two dramas, "Fighter In the Wind" and "IRIS", started filming initially in Japan and were successful, then this drama City Conquest having also started initial filming in Japan, so he thinks it will also go well.
The producer said that the filming will continue till early in 2013.
The role Kim Hyun Joong acts as Mir is a lot different from his past two dramas, "Boys Over Flowers" and "Playful Kiss."
Hyun Joong shared that till now, he hasn't shown who the real Kim Hyun Joong is, but acting as Mir in City Conquest made him think that they are quite close. In his daily life, he always thinks what Mir would do and hopes that the more the filming progresses,he would be able to master and reflect Mir's character.
Through the upcoming drama "City Conquest", viewers can look forward to see a different side of Kim Hyun Joong, one that is closer to his real self. The drama offers not only hard action but also some romance, laughter, and many other elements. Like fans in Japan, the rest of the world can anticipate watching "City Conquest" as well as Kim Hyun Joong's first solo album in Japan.

A few snapshots of Kim Hyun Joong, Jung Yumi, and Park Hyo Jun walking on the streets of Japan are currently attracting a lot of attention.
In the snapshots, Baek Mir (played by Kim Hyun Joong), Baek Mir’s lover Lee Dan Bi (played by Jung Yumi), and Baek Mir’s best friend Park Kwang Ya (played by Park Hyo Jun) are cheerfully walking on the streets of Japan, putting arms around each other’s shoulders and shouting.
This scene was filmed near Japanese traditional bars in the streets of Japan. The great teamwork between the three actors gave a lot of laughs and confidence to the production team, according to reports. Park especially got lots of laughs with his hilarious acting and ad-libbing.
Because of the three actors’ natural acting, the set is always full of laughs, and the whole team is shooting the series in a friendly mood.

Directed by PD Yang Yun Ho of the hit drama ‘Iris‘, the drama is staffed by the same special effects team and is quickly being nicknamed by fans of the original drama as ‘Iris 2′.
Their latest scenes recorded involved a motorcycle chase scene along with a car explosion that took days to actually complete due to the security measures involved and the amount of timing it takes to make sure everything happens on cue.
Kim Hyun Joong showed ease with his motorcycle and impressed producers with his natural skill on the bike, creating a heavy, tension-filled atmosphere on the set as soon as the PD’s “Action!” rang out into the air.
The staff actually exploded two cars on the set for the scene, making for one dangerous work environment due to the debris and the fire, but everyone is trucking on for the sake of the drama.
A representative revealed, “We’ve completely redone the original story of ‘City Conquest’ so we’re trying to keep the plot under wraps as much as possible. The motorcycle chase and the car explosion scenes are just the beginning of more to come.”

今日（7月18日），由韓國歌手兼演員金賢重與韓國演員鄭柔美聯袂主演的新劇《都市征伐》的假想海報出爐，假想海報是由有位金賢重的海外粉絲製作的，共有5大版本，眾人的反響熱烈。
電視劇《都市征伐》講述了對抗蔓延在社會的非法勢力的故事，將在下半年與觀眾見面。
劇中金賢重扮演的白美日、他的青梅竹馬李丹菲（鄭柔美飾）、勇於爭取愛的女人泰秀敏，以及只專情於一個人的男子車志龍（南宮民飾）等四人將演繹一段感人的浪漫故事。另外，兩個男主角的動作戲也是一個大看點。
公開的第一個版本裡有主角金賢重、南宮民、鄭柔美、金承佑，表現了本片是一部融和人文情愫與華麗動作的都市劇。第二張海報以華麗的都市夜景為背景，附上主角金賢重憂鬱卻又剛強的形象。第三張海報突現了金賢重俊美的外貌與溫柔的眼神。第四張海報裡主角們都是大頭照，表現了非常可愛與幽默的形象。最後一張海報則表現了白美日衝向危險世界的勇氣與力量。

《都市征伐》日本開拍 金賢重成功瘦身出鏡

7月10日，由韓國藝人金賢重、鄭柔美主演的電視劇《都市征伐》在日本日光市開拍。透過運動和飲食調節，金賢重成功減掉7%的脂肪，首次在片場亮相的他，清瘦的容顏十分上鏡。
金賢重（飾演白米日）、鄭柔美（飾演李丹菲）、南宮民（飾演車志龍）、金勝宇（飾演裴勝賢）、金熙媛（飾演崔英秀）、朴孝俊（飾演朴光野）等角色的任命連日來成為大眾矚目焦點。
該劇原作漫畫《都市征伐》講述了因父親拋棄自己一直心懷怨恨，對這個社會摧毀家族而報仇的故事，這部漫畫從1996年到至今出版6部，共270冊左右，累積販賣數量過千萬，是最暢銷圖書之一，獲得大眾的無限喜愛。
《都市征伐》是曾執導電視劇《IRIS》、電影《風的戰士》的梁允浩（音譯）導演的新作，而由曾編寫《聚光燈》、《對我說謊試試》等的作家黃珠夏擔任編劇。

韓國歌手兼演員金賢重確定出演電視劇《都市征伐》，並在劇中飾演男一號“白米日”的消息一傳出就受到海外買家的關注。到目前為止事前版權銷售額已經接近1000萬美金，刷新版權記錄。
特別是這次事前銷售是在《都市征伐》還沒開拍的情況下，僅憑金賢重出演的消息就取得如此傲人戰績實屬難得。足見金賢重在國內外都是集期待於一身，反響十分熱烈。
實際上，在2010年金賢重主演的韓國MBC TV電視劇《惡作劇之吻》就出口泰國、菲律賓、日本等國，創造了韓劇歷史上的最高銷售記錄，而這次歷時兩年回歸屏幕拍攝的《都市征伐》再次得到火熱期盼。
《都市征伐》的製作公司裴鎮東（音譯）代表表示：“到目前為止，日本、中國、香港、台灣等地就已經以約1000萬美金的條件簽約，金賢重效應令人感嘆。”
《都市征伐》講述了男主角白米日從小就和母親一起相依為命，因父親拋棄自己一直心懷怨恨，對這個社會摧毀的家族而報仇。白米日雖然從小經歷辛酸讓他鍛鍊成一個硬漢，但在愛情面前卻是個弱者。
金賢重的所屬經紀公司表示：“即使在舉行粉絲見面會的途中，金賢重為了不辜負國內外粉絲的期望，絲毫不疏忽，努力練習演技。他將以更幹練的一面回報大家，希望大家多多期待。”而《都市征伐》將在選定角色後，於7月初在日本進行外景拍攝。
